CJ, aka CJSKDJ, is a uniquely talented entertainer (DJ, MC, Promoter, & Graphic Designer) based in South Bend, IN. At 28 years of age, he has been in the areas entertainment scene since 2008, well over 7 years ago, when he co-founded his current DJ brand known as Sound Kitchen DJs. He consistently promotes himself under the Sound Kitchen DJs logo, which many of his fan recognize him by. “One good thing about music, when it hits you feel no pain” Bob Marley. As an absolute fan of good music, CJ is known for his multi-genre selection of music, which he strategically uses at his events to wow his audience. From his experience over the years, CJ understands that it takes the right kind of music selection to set the right kind of mood at the right time, and depending on the type of event he is booked for, taking the time to understand his audience needs is CJ’s magic trick to his successes. “For me it’s all about putting the audience’s experience first,” says CJ, “If they feel a rush when am doing a live set, they react a certain way which gives me the signal that the connection has been made. Creating those type of experiences for people is why I love doing what I do”. CJ’s dedicated work ethic has definitely got him noticed and has landed him a few major gigs, such as performance at 9th Annual South Bend Reggae/Word Festival (In 2013) and back again in 2014, the 10th Annual South Bend International Festival. He also performs yearly at the Midwest Kenyans; Annual Madaraka Day (Independence Day) event where he is also takes part in the organizing committee. Other regularly occurring gigs CJ has been involved in include the former monthly occurring Reggae Event known as the (2ND FRIDAYS REGGAE SHOW), which happened in Mishawaka Indiana. That event was discontinued in March 2014, leading to a now weekly occurring event known as (CARRIBEAN & BEYOND SATURDAYS), which happens every Saturday night at Gippers Lounge, South Bend Indiana. Lastly, CJ’s presence on the social media is pretty well rounded which makes it easy to catch his whereabouts. Since he is always striving to improve his art, CJ has some of his DJ mix compilations available for his fans to critique or just enjoy which can be found on his official sound cloud page (soundcloud.com/cjskdj).  To learn about his current projects, and upcoming events, and other topics, you can connect with him on (Facebook.com/cjskdj), (Instagram.com/cjskdj) or (Twitter.com/cjskdj)
